Patriotic Crackers
Patriotic Crackers 65 x 73 inches Quilt of Valor #203 |
Several of you mentioned that Ritzy Crackers was an odd name for the blocks in this quilt, but I think "cracker" applies to the British Christmas "cracker" rather than the flat crisp that Americans call crackers (i.e. Ritz, rice, saltines, snack, etc.)
A big accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pattern and great use of your colors-I like the addition of the top and bottom rows-very nice layout!
ReplyDeleteNow the "cracker" name makes sense to me! That turned out very pretty Nancy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt! Someone is going to be a very lucky recipient!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful. I like how you used the more patterned ones on the top and bottom and it gives it a neat "fade out" appearance. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is so impressive. I love the dark border. Crackers! Polly want a cracker? or POP!
ReplyDeleteThe block is a great design, and on my "to do" list one day.
ReplyDeleteThat looks great. You must have a ton of leftover 2.5" strips all in red, white and/or blue. You might want to look at my current blog with a link to a very nice log cabin block set on point. I should probably think about doing something like Ritzy Crackers block. One of these days I want to make a dent in scraps and fat quarters....
ReplyDeleteThat is such a fun quilt Nancy! What a great way to use up all of your scraps of fabric.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
It looks great!! It does look like Christmas crackers now that you mention it.
ReplyDeleteThat makes a LOT more sense. I guess my mind went for RITZY to RITZ.
