Not Meant To Be. . .

I started the Advent Calendar Scarf three times, but it was not meant to be. The first day's pattern was ready on Saturday evening, and I printed it out. My "plan" was to knit a narrow version of the scarf, and the buzz on Ravelry before the release stated the revisions necessary for the narrow scarf would be posted. Saturday evening, the forum was a mass of chatter with nearly every individual who posted throwing out a different cast on number. It was like a feeding frenzy. I got frustrated. I threw caution to the wind and cast on the 103 stitches for the full version, using lace-weight yarn and size 2 needles. I knit the beginning spacer and decided that this was NOT something I was enjoying. I attempted to revise the pattern myself, but ended up putting it aside in frustration and went to bed.
