Charge It

Multi-device Charger Ivinson Hospital  Laramie, WY This charger in the waiting area of the hospital had several different plugs to accommodate a variety of digital devices - Apple and Android. I’ve seen chargers in public areas but they only had USB ports and not the plugs themselves.  Have you seen similar multi-device chargers in your community?

Suggestions via Texts

sneak peek of QOV #149 Friday afternoon, I pulled 3.5 inch squares from my scrap fabric bin and began matching them to create nine-patch blocks. Before the afternoon was over, I had sewn 43 nine-patch blocks, and the 3.5 inch scrap bin was empty - I had officially found the bottom of the bin. I asked my "quilt consultants," Marilyn and Brenda, what color of sashing to use, and both said, "Dark." I pulled a couple of black fabrics, and via text, they both selected the same one - a black tone on tone. Do you snap photos of your projects and ask others for advice via text messages?

Charging Stations

Six electric vehicle charging stations near Goodland, Kansas August 2015 I love to see "new" things while on trips, and these charging stations for electric cars are definitely something that I haven't seen locally. These six stations were in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express just west of Goodland, Kansas. I was curious and Googled "electric car charging stations" and discovered there is a station in my community (that was a complete surprise) as well as numerous others in Wyoming. source This technology is foreign to me, so I did more research:     •   how long does it take to charge an electric car?     •   how many miles can an electric car travel on a charge?     •   how much does it cost to charge an electric car? Do you know anyone who owns an electric car and has used a charging station? Have you seen charging stations in your community?
