Do You See It?

Image
August 2022 I can't help but shake my head when I see an error like this. The sign was probably produced at the corporate level and is likely in every Goodwill in the United States. Fortunately, our brain translates this automatically, so many people do not even notice two letters were transposed.

Whaaat?!

weekly menu at the Eppson Center 2022 Check out the menu for Wednesday, March 23rd . . . it was a typo 😉 If patrons are required to wear masks in the building . . . why not the potatoes!

Sign of the Times

Image
sign from Pingora Yarns Lander, WY This sign was posted on the Pingora Yarns Facebook page, and I thought it was fun and timely. I borrowed  blatantly stole the photo and cropped out the sale information.  If you're looking yarn from the Mountain West , Carrie has a nice variety.

Look Closely . . .

sign on a Colorado golf course June 2020 I'm grateful my niece Brenda has a sharp eye and shares photos of the crazy things she spots.  I can't believe no one checks signs for errors before they are posted.

A Reminder . . .

Image
sign on the side of a package liquor store Laramie, WY May 2019 I had to smile when I saw this sign on the side of a local package liquor store. It's a humorous reminder for Mother's Day and also for those who don't know what to give their mothers for the holiday. I'm sure there's some truth in the sign's message.

Who Writes These Things?

Image
on the corner of Sunset and Federal Riverton, WY 2018 How would you interpret this sign?  Does it mean that parking is not allowed on the street? If drivers can't park on the pavement, is parking allowed on the grass or on the cement? The sign is a bit ambiguous and probably should simply state:            "No Parking"            "No Parking allowed from here to corner." Painting the curb red would certainly be cheaper and more effective than the confusing sign.

Alrighty Then . . .

Brenda found another interesting sign on a Denver-area street. Brenda has a sharp eye and snaps photos of the unusual things she sees and shares them for "Blog Fodder." Other photos Brenda has shared can be found here .

Please, Spell Check

Image
near Parker, CO June 2018 Brenda (my niece) snapped this photo on her daily walk. It appears that someone in the sign department failed spelling. . . Other humorous things that Brenda has spotted:           Stop sign with speed monitor           Free parking sign           Unusual drain spout
