Alpine Shire socks
June 2021
It will be fun to wear this bright pair of socks when the weather turns cold. The striping sequence was totally unpredictable, yet the yarn was a delight to knit. I hope the yarn wears and washes well.
This color way would also make a colorful shawl or cowl.
Yarn: Queensland Perth (Alpine Shire) 80% super wash wool/20% nylon
Needles: US size 2
Stitches: 64
Oh those are so pretty Nancy! Happy Socks = Happy feet!!
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty Nancy. I haven't used that yarn before, but I love how they knit up.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Love them! Perfect for fall!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! What great colors.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a gorgeous color combo! I visited a yarn shop with my cousin when we were on our "girls weekend", and we both petted lots of yarn. She is an avid knitter, and always says she is a "want to be" quilter. It was amazing to me how different some yarns look in the skein or ball, and then compared to how they look in a finished product.
ReplyDeleteFun! I bet you'll get lots of compliments when you wear them.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! Hugs,
ReplyDeleteAnother pair of lovely wool socks. I'm slowly working away on a 4 ply pair of pink socks for my granddaughter, the fine yarn takes so long to knit but now and again change to a thicker knitting projects for a change of pace.
ReplyDeleteOh they are lovely Nancy. The colors melting into one another. Makes me want to knit socks. I will have some car time tomorrow. SO I just may cast on!
