Picking Up the Needles

baby hat in progress
August 2018
Yes, I still know how to knit. . . I just haven't picked up my needles much in the last month. Currently, I am working on two projects: a shawl and a scrap yarn, baby hat. It's been fun to knit with the group that meets at the Eppson Center (senior center) on Wednesday afternoons: conversation flows easily as we work on projects.

  1. Knitting in a group setting is so much fun. We have a little group here but I haven't worked up the courage to visit it since I have a feeling it's made up mainly of younger knitters. It's held in the meeting room of a very hipster market. Now if were at the senior center I would be all in.

  4. How nice to sit and knit with others! I am sure you will inspire them to make some baby hats and we will look forward to seeing what they urge on you! lol

  5. Another lovely baby hat. And how nice to have found a knitting group to join in with. Knitting now, and hopefully some sewing will happen soon too. Then you'll know you are settling in.

  6. When I read your title my first thought was "picking up PINE needles!" That's what we've been doing around here because it's so dry out the needles are falling. :-( I was relieved to see it was knitting needles and that you've found a group to fellowship and knit with. :-)
    Blessings,
