Concert Season

University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra
September 2018
Last Thursday, I attended the first concert of the UW Symphony Orchestra Season. Since I purchased season tickets for the symphony and the theatre/dance performances, I will be spending a lot of time enjoying the 2018-2019 fine arts season.

I snapped the photo before the conductor entered, but many people were taking photos during the concert. The seats in the last two rows of the hall are called "Tweet Seats" and are sold to those who want to tweet quietly during the performance.

Do you "Tweet" and would you tweet during a concert or play?

  1. How wonderful to enjoy regular concerts-you will love it!
(I don't tweet, so I wouldn't tweet seat! lol but the ph would go off-who needs a distraction when you can be lost in the music!)

  3. I am NOT a twit-wit or a nit-wit. Give me a break! People need to let go of the electronics and live their live in real (slow) time.

  4. I have a twitter account but have never sent a tweet. I used to follow a couple of interesting education accounts, but haven't done that in a couple of years. I have to agree with the comment above that people need to just enjoy the experience.

  6. I do tweet-a lot but never in public. I am a midnight tweeter when I've got nothing better to do.

  7. I have never tweeted in my life. Personally I don’t think a concert is the place for it but I think I’m old fashioned.

  8. I do not Tweet. I have tried it and honestly, I just don't get the appeal. I do Facebook and Instagram, but I've been cutting back bit by bit.

I would never do social media at a concert or play. My phone would be turned off and in my bag. I like the show too much to be interrupted.

  9. I do not tweet. I am kind of anti-screens. I love hands-on crafts and real books.

  10. No surprise I can’t see myself tweeting. And I don’t have an account. No need to do more stuff on electronics!

  11. No I don't know how to tweet and I would probably need a phone besides the one on my wall:)
