The Winter Carnival Quilt Show is an opportunity to see some gorgeous quilts, and this year's show did not disappoint. I love to see how quilters use fabrics. The blue fabric is gorgeous in this quilt, but I wouldn't have considered it in a fabric shop because it is so busy. However, it's the perfect fabric to balance the flying geese blocks.

The braided border adds another layer of beauty to this stunning quilt.
It all works beautifully together.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I can't imagine the patience it takes to place all those little triangles just so.
ReplyDeleteMY favorite part is the blue country background. Just lovely
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, small pattern against the blocks are beautiful. Quilting really allows you that ability to see how different textures and patterns work or don't, huh? Anyways it is a beautiful quilt, I've never seen this style before!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. The quilter has a very skilled eye for choosing fabrics. I also doubt I would have chosen the blue, but it works.
ReplyDeleteWow that is a beautiful piece of art! I hope you took more photos! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, so much detail work! That is a beautiful quilt. The colors worked out perfectly for this design!
ReplyDeleteI like how flying geese look in a quilt. I don't make them often but do love seeing them.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that this is a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI really like those flying geese going in circles. I almost bought a pattern yesterday that had the geese circling. Decided I probably would never make it!
