Knitting Progress
nearing the end March 2021 |
I'm on the home stretch of the second Silver Lining hat: I have 1.5 inches left to knit before beginning the decreases. This hat has a more subtle color change because I used the same variegated yarn throughout and two solid colors - pale blue-green, and cream .
On Saturday afternoon, I knit while watching The Call, starring Halle Berry. It was an excellent and intense movie if you like psychological drama and horror: I'd give it a five-star rating even though it rattled me a bit.
Have you watched a good movie recently?
I enjoyed that movie too. I have been watching old westerns lately! John Wayne and the Cowboys!
ReplyDeleteI have mostly been watching "happy" movies lately. I just need a good romantic comedy. I love to read intense thrillers, but rarely watch that type of movie. Not sure why.
ReplyDeleteYour hat is turning out so pretty. I've been trying to get ahead in my mitten making since I think the summer will be a fairly busy one with moving. I don't know when we last watched a movie. We tend to watch a lot of YouTube and other online things.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I havent seen that movie but I do enjoy reading spooky psychological thrillers and serial killer type of books!
ReplyDeleteWe watched Fried Green Tomatoes and Water for Elephants on DVD when we had no Internet that weekend. Lately I have not found any really good movies to watch. Sorry to hear that you had covid arm too. :(
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a lot of stitches but I love the subtle color shift on this one!
ReplyDeleteI've been watching old movies on YouTube.com--black and whites I just put Film Noir in the search and pick one!
Love the hat! I've been hooked on TCM since the pandemic started. I turn it on while I make dinner and even The Mister has gotten into some of the old classics.
ReplyDeleteLet’s see the last movie I watched — Dr Doolittle with Eddy Murphy — unless it was a formulaic Hallmark movie. We tend to turn the TV off after the evening news — I’d rather read. The hat looks pretty. That’s a nice variegated yarn. BTW — absolutely no thrillers for me — too tense give me light happy stuff. 😁
ReplyDeleteNice hat!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good movie. No, we haven't watched anything. Too busy decluttering packing.
ReplyDeleteI have to look up the hat! A lot of folks are making a hat that goes inside itself. It is a pay pattern on Ravelry. I think I' ll look up yours. And Nancy, I am happy to say the traveling Wall of Vietnam Soldiers is coming to our area, (Milwaukee) this May. I hope to be able to wear a mask and go. I've always wanted to see it . Dont know if our friend who has Vietnam PSTD would go . Sometimes these things get him all caught in memories. ........
ReplyDeleteNancy, Give me an idea of the yarn you used. Did you use the Valley yarn in lace weight? Are you using the helix method? I think maybe you said you were....
ReplyDeleteI’ve not seen that movie, I’ll have to check it out. Love the colors in the hat.
