Patio Crafting

twining on the patio
July 2020

I haven't done a lot of twining lately, so last week I tried to work at least two afternoons on the patio. One of the days, I called a friend to come over and visit while I worked. We chatted (social distanced) for a couple of hours, and I made progress on the rug.

seven inches to twine
July 2020

Saturday, the temperatures were in the mid-70s, and it was very pleasant to sit on the patio and work on the rug for an hour or two. I now have only seven inches remaining to twine before the rug can come off of the frame.

  5. You've made great progress.

I can't imagine temps in the 70s. We're broiling over here in the east. LOL

Glad you got some friend time. I'm hoping to get a bit of that NEXT weekend.

  6. That's looking great! It's been far too hot here to be outside much. And we really need rain!

  7. It looks great! How I envy you your mild temps. It's been brutal here. I've had summer long headache from all this heat and humidity. A breath of fresh air would be most welcome.

    1. I couldn't find your reply--I found great instrutions on how to make a frame on YouTube. I like your rug dimensions better, strips were torn at 1 1/2 inches. You do amazing work and so many projects! I make quilts for my family and QOV, I'm busy making masks and scrub hats, my granddaughter is a respiratoy therapist working with Covid patients. Her hospital is a hot spot now. I admire your creative ability and that you donate so many wonderful items from quilts to sweaters. God Bless you!
