Sockhead Cowl - revisited

Sockhead Cowl
February 2019
The Sockhead Cowl came off the needles on Saturday. I probably could have knit another row or two, but as the yarn ball got smaller and smaller, I didn't feel like playing "yarn chicken."

I plan to knit one or two more of the cowls out of some solid, stash yarn. I think they would be perfect to donate to the homeless shelter. The cowls would be nice for men or women and will cut the Wyoming wind nicely.

  3. Better safe than tinking the last few rows to be able to bind off, I always say!

  4. It's beautiful. I have to get that pattern because it occurred to me that with two leg holes my JRT would have a warm sweater.

  5. When I was growing up, I had never heard of cowls (yes, I'm that old). Now, I wouldn't go out of the house in the winter without my cowl. This old "chick'en" gets a cold neck! You did a fantastic job!

  7. Geat job! I love the striping in it. I know someone will be thrilled to wear this on these cold, cold days.

  8. Great finish!!! My dad was just saying today he needs one to be able to easily pull up over his face when he is snow blowing (at 86 he should let others do the work but dream on about that! lol)
I want to power through one on the knitting machine so I can get it to him asap! This is a great inspiration!
