Gift Sock Knitting

October 2017
One of the Lucky Seven skeins of sock yarn from this post is being turned into a pair of gift socks.

Yarn: Match 100 (75% superwash wool and 25% nylon)
          Color #55188

Needles: US size 2

Stitch count: 60 stitches

The Match 100 yarn feels good in my hands and is knitting well. I am pleased with this brand and will order it again.

Have you discovered a "new to you" sock yarn that you like to knit?

  1. Oh, how pretty! I usually knit a size 8 sock for gifting, figuring it will stretch to a 9 or not for a 7! I'm liking the new Berrocco sock yarn!

  2. I am finally using some of Val's (Wandering Cat) yarn and really like it.

You are making speedy progress with your new yarn. I really like the red in that skein - very pretty. And, I like the way the stripes look like they are on a diagonal. Interesting.

  5. I've knit so few pairs of socks that I really can't answer that question. I do love how sock yarn makes such pretty stripes.

  6. Nancy these are beautiful and will make a lovely gift. I will tell you a secret. I was visiting Caffeine Girl's blog and she posted some gradient stripe sock yarn from Knit Circus and though I do not need anymore sock yarn ... I kinda need that.
