Colorado Fabrics
Colorado Fabrics October 2017 |
a small segment of the wool selection |
cute woolen cottages |
Wouldn't this make a cute throw for the sofa?
a large area of speciality fabrics - satins, brocades |
The center of the store housed the notions section - zippers, buttons, fasteners, webbing, thread, scissors, trims, etc.
One end of the building had a classroom with sewing machines and tables. Near the quilting fabric section was a room with two or three longarm quilting machines.
They do not have an online store, but one of the clerks said they will send small swatches of fabrics, if someone has a specific request.
If I were a serious seamstress or needed a specific fabric or notion, this store would be on my radar.
I could be lost in there for days! Wow, what a store!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a fun place! So...inquiring minds want to know...what did you buy?
ReplyDeleteDitto. What did you buy? and did they have quilting cottons?
DeleteThat is an enormous store. I think you are right about the wool fabric with the houses; it would make a nice throw.
ReplyDeleteWow! Just wow! I think I could wander around in that store for a long, long time. Too bad they don't have an online store.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always, Betsy
Looks like a fun place to go. I was at a similar shop in a Minneapolis suburb last fall - S.R. Harris. It was a blast to see the wools and other specialty fabrics and notions that we don't see in most fabric stores anymore.
ReplyDeleteThat many choices would make my head spin!! WOw. I admire your sewing skills Nancy
ReplyDeleteIf I was a sewist I would be all over those red plaid wools!!! WOW! They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhoa - I could get carried away there! Just as well I don't live near to that place. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love all the colors and textures. I would probably go button bonkers. My mother would spend the rent money there. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a seamstress's dream. I think I'd be too overwhelmed to buy anything!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous store. You don't see too many stores with a wonderful selection of lots of different types of fabrics. I know I have several really nice pieces of wool in my collection. I don't think they are going to be made into anything any time soon... some are since, gulp, high school! YIKES.
ReplyDeleteWow, would love to have that store here.
