I joined my sister and brother-in-law last week on a road trip through southern Colorado. In some areas the Aspen were at peak color, and the vistas were breath-taking.
I want to visit there again soon. We have friends in Denver who have invited us, so someday. Though the only other time I was there, I was sick most of the time from altitude sickness. Now that I know what it is though, I'm hoping I can avoid it.
Lovely photos - thanks for sharing. You may or may not know this, but our native trees here in New Zealand do not change to fall colours in Autumn, they are evergreens. So our hills do not have the striking colours as yours do. Only the exotic trees from overseas add a touch of colour to the season.

Beautiful! Any snow? My brother in Boulder had snow on Monday. Still warm (and rainy) where we are camping in SE Ohio.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!

ReplyDeleteWe leave tomorrow morning to hopefully catch some beautiful fall color (and find a house). :-)
Your photos are so lovely. Yes breathtaking. I get a little koo koo in the mountains but I love them in the distance
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. My father was just driving through visiting family last week. He's in Chicago now.
ReplyDeleteYou westerners have such gorgeous views. I love Wisconsin, but it lacks the drama of the West!
