blocks and fabric donated by Pat S.
October 2017 |
Pat S. from Virginia sent me a quilt UFO (unfinished object) that is destined to become a Quilt of Valor. The blocks are paper-pieced and all finished. Two rows are sashed and sewn, but I need to remove the paper from the back, add sashing to the rest of the blocks and add a border or two (Pat included extra yardage) to meet the QOV size requirements.
Thank you, Pat for allowing me to complete your project, which will bring comfort to a veteran.
And it will bring comfort to the original maker because it will now be finished. Looks like it is going to be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'll add my thanks too to you. It's nice to see that this beautiful project will get finished. The blocks are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose are very pretty blocks. Thank you for finishing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing both of you are doing! A friend's husband just returned from his tour of duty, and got to meet his new baby boy for the first time yesterday. The video my friend posted was heartwarming.
ReplyDeleteA win, win situation for sure...
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful material. How ice of Pat to think of you to finish the quilt and thank you for being willing to do so.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking block. I know I get tired of some of my choices of blocks/colors/fabrics but I haven't given any away yet. Good for you for finishing it for a good cause and Pat for moving it forward so it does get finished.
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to see how it turns out.
