Tokyo fish market Tokyo, Japan 1979 |
One trip resulted in an outing to a fish market -- lots of fresh fish of EVERY kind were displayed on ice.
No doubt these fish were purchased that morning at the Tokyo Fish Market.

Lots of different variety of fish...YUM! Hubby and I both love fish.
ReplyDeleteWow - that's a lot of fish. Have you ever seen the film "Jiro Dreams of Sushi?" Highly recommend it.

ReplyDeleteOh YIKES! That is one place I could not GO! Although, I suppose if I was brought up there, maybe I would LIKE fish.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photo!
Yum - fresh fish would be wonderful. One of the things I like the most about travel is eating local cuisine.
ReplyDeleteI always cringe at fish markets but that fish actually looks really good!
ReplyDeleteYour photo reminds me of our local Pike Place Market!
ReplyDeleteWe were going to go to the fish market last time we were in Tokyo but after a late night we cringed at the 3:30 wake up to be there in time and decided to skip it that visit! :-). Lazy bones! The fish looks wonderful. I love all of the fresh fish places to eat in Japan. Not so much here.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I thought of Pike Place Market, too, just like Judy S.
ReplyDeleteYep, reminded me of pics of Pike Place also. Now if I really liked lots of fish I'd be drooling....
