American Icon

Grain Elevator
Oshkosh, NE
July 2015
Many of these gentle giants (grain elevators) are disappearing from the rural American landscape. While on a morning walk, I was delighted to find this one next to the railroad tracks in Oshkosh.

Previous posts about other grain elevators can be found here.

  1. That's a great shot! I love grain elevators and remember the smell of sweet grain when passing them.

    Wonder why they are disappearing?
