Oh my goodness what a fun time! I have that book and LOVE it! Can't wait to see more photos.
ReplyDeleteOh good! I'm looking forward to viewing all the pictures! Hope everyone had a good time.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great class! Call me crazy but at first glance at your drop spindle, roving, and bobbin picture I saw a face, two eyes, two hands together and crossed legs. I swear I haven't had a thing to drink! I've been looking at too many of my grandkids' stick figures.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! I would like to learn how to use a drop spindle and of course that spinning wheel I have upstairs only gathers dust:(
ReplyDeleteFun times. It's always neat to learn something new, especially from someone who really knows what they are doing. Looking forward to some more pictures.
ReplyDeleteLooked like fun. When we were raising sheep, every time we sheared them I thought about learning to spin. But I never did. I do remember my grandmother carding her wool to use as quilt batting. Now I'm wondering if she did any spinning too.
ReplyDeleteOoh - that looks like a lot of fun. You make me want to do something like that. Was this your first time? What a great thing to learn. Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the Fiber Guild blog! I especially liked seeing the process of making boucle. Did you get a chance to spin or were you there only to report on the event?
