Urban Forest Mural
mural on the corner of Third and Custer Streets Laramie, WY October 2018 |
This large mural invites closer observation. Note the single tree on the far right of the second photo. I can only speculate about the artist's message behind this impressive mural.
It is huge and I can not even guess why there would not be trees on the other side.
ReplyDeleteI was too curious....so I looked up the Laramie Mural Project, called the number to hear what the artist had to say. Dan Toro, the artist, said it was all about community, that humans were designed to be in a community, and the further away you get, the less growth you'll have, as seen in the roots.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Beautiful mural! Interesting what the artist had to say.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I found interesting with the artist said to. How appropriate.

That's beautiful and begs the viewer to wonder why those trees on the right are leaning. In the wind maybe?
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the use of a mural to give space and openness to an area like this!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou've found another interesting mural. The artist statement is interesting — we are social communities even if we are friends through only the Internet. But I can’t help thinking about what humans have been doing to the rest of life on earth. Much food for thought here. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletehard for trees to grow in rocks:)
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that it is easier to grow with others.
