carving detail First Street parking area Laramie, WY October 2018 |
This beautiful sandstone carving display is fenced, but no information is posted next to it. I assume it is from an old building in historical downtown Laramie - probably from the late 1800s.
Look at all that detail: isn't it beautiful?
Oh my that is really something. Wish they would have posted info about it.
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe detail is amazing. But the mystery of what it is would drive me crazy if I had to see it frequently.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I want to know about it!!
ReplyDeleteReally interesting! You can kind of see where the weather is taking its toll.
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful. I wish they had some kind of a plaque or something telling us what it is. It seems that you rarely, if ever see that kind of beautiful detail in structures that are built now. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteWowza!
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible! What a skill; wouldn't you like to watch carvers working on that!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that it was saved. I bet you will discover more about it Nancy!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I hope you find out more about it! I think the capitol building in Cheyenne is ornate like that also:)
