Carved in Stone

carving detail
First Street parking area
Laramie, WY
October 2018
This beautiful sandstone carving display is fenced, but no information is posted next to it. I assume it is from an old building in historical downtown Laramie - probably from the late 1800s.

Look at all that detail: isn't it beautiful?

  2. The detail is amazing. But the mystery of what it is would drive me crazy if I had to see it frequently.

  5. That is really beautiful. I wish they had some kind of a plaque or something telling us what it is. It seems that you rarely, if ever see that kind of beautiful detail in structures that are built now. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Betsy
