Bound and Labeled

Two Quilts of Valor were returned to me last week from Darlene W. in Nampa, ID, a volunteer longarm quilter. The binding was already prepared, so I made a label and stitched it and the binding on the quilts. The area under "Quilt of Valor" will be used to add the recipient's name and the date the quilt was presented.

I met with the Laramie Quilt of Valor group earlier this month. The group is a little over a year old and has only begun to award quilts to the veterans in the area.

  5. Well that should mean that there is plenty of fun quilting ahead to award to soldiers in your new area. Lovely quilt again Nancy. You are a silent sweet volunteer and you have given so much. I know you enjoy it, but it is such a great cause. It looks like a lot of work is involved. I commend you

  6. I'm sure this group will welcome you to their group. Many of our guild members are interested in starting a QOV chapter here. And I volunteered to get the paperwork started. And our local quilt shop has begun the process to become an official QOV shop.
