From Kit to Flimsy

rail fence blocks
September 2021

I’m focused on finishing kits I started at retreat. The rail fence blocks were finished at Dwight’s house, and during last week’s FaceTime call I sewed the individual blocks into four-patches. During this Sunday’s call, I sewed the blocks into rows and rows into a partial flimsy. I have a row of stars and a simple strip of color to add before this kit can be declared a completed QOV.

  1. Awesome! I think it is a great idea to make kits...I feel like I am not going to be able to cut them forever!

  3. I like the idea of adding a row of stars to a rail fence. That could be so sharp!

  4. The dark print fabric really makes a nice, but subtle pop of color. Very nice.

  5. The quilt looks so difficult to me. I'm always amazed at how fast yours come together.
