Liberty

Liberty
57 x 70 inches
Quilt of Valor
Liberty was made with the final patriotic panel in my stash and the end of the patriotic "cheater" fabric. Since I didn't have enough of the star border fabric, I added white blocks to the corners.

This is QOV #109

Liberty was awarded to a Vietnam Veteran (Alex C.) from Montana on March 29, 2017. Sharon L. of the Lewis Clark QOV group said, "Alex was very moved and ask me to thank everyone associated with QOVF. He said we have made his day, week, month and year."

  2. A striking quilt. The border works very well, and I like the addition of the white blocks.

  3. I like the white blocks at the four corners as well. And, as Dee states, you are making great progress on your quilts for 2017!

  4. Another pretty QOV. Nice job. You could even add a big solid red or blue star in those white corners, but it looks good as is.

  5. That is just beautiful! The white squares in the corners was a great idea.

  6. Beautiful! I love the eagle! Did you happen to see the eagle they released over the Army vs. Navy game. He looked just like the one on your quilt. He brought tears to my eyes.
