Foot Pedal Pad

non-slip sewing machine foot pedal pad
December 2016
Anyone who sews regularly knows the frustration of having the foot pedal creeping further and further away.

I found a quick and easy solution - a non-slip Foot Pedal Pad. The non-slip fabric is actually shelf liner from the Dollar Store - a clever and inexpensive material for this project.

I made two of these: one for the sewing group gift exchange and one for myself.

  1. Very clever! My foot pedal sits on a non-slip rug but still shifts a little over time. I have some of that shelf liner so maybe I should just put a sheet under the rug for more grip.

  2. Neat. My floor is carpeted I wonder if it would hold on that? Although I actually have it snug against a smal box that is against the sewing desk. It doesn't move much at all. But I like the idea. I might try one later for retreats and such. Thanks for sharing.

  5. That, my friend, is brilliant. I haven't been able to sew lately because of back issues, but that was one thing that always drove me nutso!

  9. That is a GREAT idea, Nancy. My foot pedal is forever getting caught under the edge of the sewing table. Wish I could thank you in person!
