Mary's Blankets
Preemie baby blanket Seed-stitch blocks |
Full-size baby blanket Checks and Ridges stitch |
Yes, both of these blankets were knit with the same yarn, but as mentioned above, it was difficult photograph. The yarn is a tweed - pink, purple, royal blue, and navy blue.
Mary sent six skeins of the Blue Mist yarn that was used to create these two blankets which will be sent to the Pine Ridge Reservation Project.
Your needles must have been FLYING!!! Very cute blankies and I'm sure they will be very much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Both look so soft.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a super knitter, Nancy! I wonder what your total yardage of yarn used ever since you started crafting is...
ReplyDeleteVery nice blankies. I bet the true colors come out beautifully. I know photographing is hard sometimes. Keep up all your good work.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful blankets and I love that blue! I am half-way through the second baby blanket and can't wait to finish. They are not my favorite baby knits. I would much rather be knitting sweaters and hats.
ReplyDeleteI agree...your needles must be "smokin' ." LOL. Both blankets are beautiful and will be a great comfort to some precious little one. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy, that's for sure! Isn't it strange how difficult some colors are to photograph? And I'll bet they also look a bit different on each person's computer.
ReplyDeleteReally like the seed stitch one!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really like the yarn, and those patterns make it sing. Again, thank you for being such an inspired, charitable knitter.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and what a great project to send them to:)
