Through the Roof
The heat has zapped my energy and left me about as worthless as this old, shed roof at my grandfather's farm.
I'm not complaining too much since this is the first warm weather of the summer, and before long, I will be grumbling about the cold. A climate with no extremes might be ideal, but it would also be boring.

The extremes help us to appreciate the just rights.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo! It reminds me of my youth, exploring Arizona ghost towns.
ReplyDeleteYou are fortunate to have the seasons there! Texas weather is boring--hot and not so hot.
Seems to me there is no place that is perfect and if given the choices to move we would most likely stay where we are...
ReplyDeleteI like the four distinct seasons we have here in central VA, but I'm used to this beastly heat in August...
ReplyDeleteLOL oh Nancy...I know what its like...its cold...then when we get a few warm days...we get too hot!! Although we probably don't get quite as warm as you...but there are days I tend to think ...oh this heat?!
ReplyDeleteI have been exhausted as well, finding myself enjoying an afternoon nap a couple of times a week. Makes me miss the cooler weather of Alaska!
ReplyDeleteice tea and a good book is just what you need now - right?
ReplyDeleteI can identify with the hot. The south here has been inundated with such high heat & humidity! The heat index this w/e was 105 and last week was up to 115! Too much for my liking...though, I wouldn't want all the snow you get up there either.
