It's wonderful to sit on the deck in the afternoon to knit on small projects like socks and baby hats. Winter's cold is is distant memory, as the warmth of early summer makes itself at home.
We keep ending up with rainy weekends, so my knitting has all been done inside so far. But I do love sitting outside when it's nice and working on something.
We've gone past outdoor knitting season here thanks to the bugs. Those Asian mosquitoes that invaded us a few years ago bite day or night and they really hurt. I miss getting out with my wheels and needles. It won't be until late October that it will be possible again. Darn bugs.
What a fun photo! I love my shady front porch in the mornings with my coffee and newspaper. I've done a little binding out there too. Even when it's really hot that porch is shady and relatively cool.
We've had wonderful weather this past little while. Dry, sunny, but not too hot - a lovely cool breeze. I've had the windows open and the a/c off. I wish it could stay like this, but I know we'll get hot and humid soon.
That sounds like a wonderful place to knit. I’m enjoying being outside with my needles now too. Gotta get every moment in befor ethe snow flies again. Blessings, Betsy
Lovely knitting Nancy. Especially nice to sit outside enjoying fresh air and the sights. I love my veranda stitching as I call it and feel like a couple of the chipmunks are my pets. Happy Stitching!

It is high on summer here, so quite hot for binding and the like...enjoy those medium warm days of springtime!

ReplyDeleteDo you have an extra chair? Unless it's 6 a.m. or 8 p.m. I won't be sitting outside here until probably October.
ReplyDeletePretty picture. Glad you can enjoy knitting outside. Our weekends have been so wet.....

ReplyDeleteI sat outside a little bit and knit today too. It is still cool here today, but it was perfect for enjoying some outside time.
ReplyDeleteGiroux came out on his leash. I think he enjoyed sniffing all the plants and even settled enough to take a little rest in the grass.

It's been too cool and we to be outside here until today, and guess what? I spent the warm part of the day at the dentist. Bleh! Bad planning, right?
ReplyDeleteWe woodcarve outside when we can. I think the birds like my husbands rock n roll music:)
