Several years ago, I purchased a clearance-priced, quilt kit with several fat quarters (FQs) and a pattern. I didn't care for the kit pattern, but I knew the fabric would make a nice Quilt of Valor.
I used Pat Fryer's, Stars N Stripes pattern from Villa Rosa Designs. The pattern was also used to make Star Struck - QOV #23 in 2012. Super Star is QOV #95
Such a warm and inviting QOV - that's a great pattern. That center star is my favorite for baby girl quilts and I really like the addition of the bars and border to make it appropriate for a deserving veteran. You know, it always amazes me how often many of our veterans have never been thanked for their service. Hopefully, one day, they will all be covered...preferably with quilts. You are making a huge difference for so many service men and women.

Another nice quilt for a veteran.
ReplyDelete95 is an impressive number and you are closing in fast on 100. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteStunning!! A REAL superstar.
ReplyDeleteThat one is STUNNINGLY beautiful. The simplicity really shows off the beautiful fabrics.
ReplyDeleteMy eyes went directly to the purple and black parts. Great job Nancy! Glad you enjoyed my car/faith in folks story. I needed it too
ReplyDeleteThese fabrics looks great in this pattern. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI can never see too many star quilts. That is a high impact quilt. We don't have Qvuilts of Valour in NZ. at least if we do I have never heard of it.
ReplyDeleteNice choice for your kit. Looks great. I'm sure someone wil really enjoy this one. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI made that exact same pattern and have it hanging in my living room. I love the colors you used in the top and bottom border.
