Brickless Progress

Brickless
March 2016
Progress has been slow on the Brickless shawl/scarf. I just started the fifth repeat and will knit as long as I have yarn. After the fourth repeat, I weighed the yarn and had 49 grams remaining from the original 100 gram skein. I'm optomistic that the remaining yarn will be sufficient to finish the fifth repeat and knit a final lace section, but it will be close.

An earlier post on this project can be seen here.

I don't know why this yarn is photographing as purple because it is really gray and charcoal.

  1. I'm sure you'll come up with a creative solution if you run out of yarn, but I hope it doesn't come to that. Good luck!

  2. Another beautiful Brickless. SO many have knit it . Is the pattern really clear and easy to follow....are there short rows?

  3. You and Deborah (caffeinegirlcreates) are both working on Brickless and she was having the same trouble getting HER color to look right too.

They BOTH look great to me! LOL

  4. Weighing the yarn--why haven't I thought of that? That's a much more accurate way to determine if you have enough left to finish a project.

  6. Nancy, coloring is very relaxing. I rediscovered coloring when I was in the grief process .... in fact, recently I purchased a new color book for adults!

  9. Nancy, Brickless is really coming along. I love how that colorway knits up in the pattern. I can't wait to see more. I want to say it's blooming each time we see it!
