Dressing Up

"Legacy of Care" sculpture
Sanford Hospital courtyard
Fargo, ND
February 2016
This sculpture, located near the front entrance of the Fargo hospital, caught my eye the first time Marilyn and I visited our sister in ICU.

The hats and scarves added personalization to the sculpture and to the hospital surroundings. The tasteful "yarn bombing" made me smile.

Have you seen yarn bombing in your community that made you smile?

  1. I've only seen yarn bombing in pictures like this. Being able to smile during the tough times is a blessing.

Hope your sister is doing better and is out of ICU.

I have never seen a yarn bombing here in Orlando.

  5. Awwww that is so sweet. I just saw a yarn bomb at the knit shop door in a shop in Evanston. Sure has taken off!

  6. Fun idea. Our little community hung clotheslines in a downtown park area and attached locally donated hats, scarves, and mittens for people to just come and take. It looked pretty but I've never heard how successful it was in getting the items to those who needed them.

  8. There is a bus stop in front of an elementary school that has a nice sleeve that I always notice on my way to the LYS. It's such a happy sight.

  10. Fun. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing yarn bombing somewhere but it totally escapes my memory of where!
