Baby Surprise Jacket May 2014 |
As the temperatures began to rise, my knitting slowed to a crawl. At one point all my needles were empty, which is highly unusual for me since I often have up to four or five projects in the works. Craving something to knit, I started a Baby Surprise Jacket to use some wool that has been in my stash too long.
Pattern: Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmerman
Yarn: Lion Brand - Lion Wool - 100% wool (Rose #140 and Winter White #099)
Needles: size 8
Love the red and white combination. I always say I'm going to knit one of these and never do.
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute. Red and white will work great for this jacket. Do you have a baby in mind for it?
ReplyDeleteI love that jacket pattern and I especially love your colors! Looking forward to seeing the finished jacket.
ReplyDeleteOh I am so excited to watch the progress!!
ReplyDeleteThis jacket is a fun knit! I like your red/white color combo; it's going to be really cute.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it finished:)
ReplyDeleteBSJ is a fun knit. The last one I made, I used some unwanted sock yarn doubled with an acrylic DK weight. It turned out cute and was a good way to use some sock yarn up.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait it see it done. I've enjoyed catching up with your blog. I remember many times washing my hair camping with ice cold water...talk about a head freeze :)
ReplyDeleteI still want to do one of those. Those colors really speak to me... but I have a never-ending Tofutsies baby blanket to finish first.
ReplyDeletei treasured some hand knit items I received as gifts when my girls were babies, and they have treasured the hand knit items they have received. So I'm sure some lucky mom will love this little baby jacket.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to make stripes! That pattern is a surprise. I can remember wondering how it would work the whole time I was working on it, and then sure enough it did.
ReplyDeleteI am seeing this jacket pop up again! I might have to try to do one! I love the colors, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI love those Zimmerman patterns! I really like the colors you chose. Very summer-ish.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty colors, Nancy! Can't wait to see the finished sweater!
