Mother, May I. . .
Monday, May 12, 2014 |
The nights have been cool, and it hasn't frosted in a few days.
The grass is green, and the trees are beginning to leaf.
It just might be safe to say that Spring has arrived in the Wind River Valley.
So, Mother Nature, may I please
put my Winter coats away?
The wall behind my front door looks like that too. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a strange year. I'd put away all but one, just in case.
ReplyDeleteAh the wonders of Wyoming Weather - I think that is where the www came from!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!
Have a great spring day!
I agree with Wool Winder .....maybe keep one out, just in case. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe LOVED to play Mother May I. What great memories you've brought to mind. Yes yes put the wools away!
ReplyDeleteMother Nature: Yes dear, you can put them all away, ...except for one. I still like to throw in a cool afternoon or evening through June.
ReplyDeleteWe were caught in an early June blizzard in Wyoming about 20 years ago. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch on a beautiful sunny day and the the snow was falling heavily by the time we left. We stayed overnight in Cheyenne rather than drive in it. It was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou are just about to have spring and we are just starting to reach 100 degrees:)
ReplyDeleteI still have my down parka and my winter boots out! I know as soon as I put them away it will turn real cold. Cool and rainy here today about 50 degrees:)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope spring has finally arrived for all of us. We had a little frost in eastern SD last week, but since I how have a couple of plants out on my deck I hope we don't get any more frost. My winter coat is at the dry cleaners, so I better not need it.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are still getting snow! I put my spring coat away a couple weeks ago and have been doing coatless. I do hope she says yes, you know, since you asked so nice. g
ReplyDeleteI know.... it is still so cool!!!..Oh well I guess cold spring...warm winter... I have to be grateful!!
ReplyDeleteYou know if you put them away you'll need them. Keep the whole state happy--leave the coats out! We've started up the slope of a hot summer. It's already been in the 90's. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI was in Sarasota earlier this week, and I REALLY need spring to be firmly in place now. Rumor has it, it will be 85 tomorrow.
