Amazing America
Amazing America 56 x 72 inchess Quilt of Valor |
Even though this quilt used a lot of 2.5 inch scraps, I have even more to use. No matter how much I sew, it seems like all I've been doing is making even more scraps.
This quilt was made using the Royal Squares - Quilts by Emily. The link directs you to the free pattern.

Great job Nancy using the scraps! A soldier is going to love this quilt! Thanks for the link. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is wonderful!! And I totally know what you mean about making more scraps, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely one of my favorites! The white/light fabric frames are what my eye catches first and then it dances all over the place. Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I'm having the same phenomenon happening at my house - the scrap bin is not shrinking like it should be. My theory - and I'm sticking to it - is that scraps - like dirty laundry - multiplies in the dark while we sleep.
ReplyDeleteWe were out to dinner the other night with a couple that has a son in Afghanistan. She is working to get a Quilt of Valor for her son when he gets home. Thanks to you ....I knew just what that is.
ReplyDeleteThis one is very cheerful!
Oh my, I can't imagine all the work this took and to think it is all done with scraps!
ReplyDeleteI love it, and it definitely supports the idea of "Waste not, want not."
ReplyDeleteAn amazingly beautiful quilt Nancy! It has great character. I have also found that it is hard to get rid of scraps. I have made scrap shawls and scarves and socks and still had as many scraps left as when I started. They have a life of their own!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteits so cool to see some purple and black squares. It doesn't detract from the red white and blue at all. Lovely. sorry the scraps are like rabbits...
ReplyDeleteDitto what wool winder said. And yes scraps do tend to multiple.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are so lovely. I'm going to send it to my mother to look at. She will swoon for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat is really lovely! So glad you enjoyed the pattern!
ReplyDeleteChuckling, those 2.5" bits are never completely gone! Nice job Nancy!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! It should make someone very happy.
ReplyDeleteI love it!!
