Across the Finish Line

My goal of knitting ten pair of socks for the adults on my Christmas list was accomplished last night. For this final pair, I used an easy lace pattern, Tidal Wave.

I used Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport yarn (100% superwash wool) in #6ns Douglas Fir.

Now, I need to decide what to make for the children on my gift list.

  1. I used this pattern for some socks last year and really liked it too. Someone is going to be very lucky!

  3. Wow! You are AMAZING!!!!

I love this pair of socks. I've made this pattern before and enjoyed it immensely. It's so easy but is very striking in its subtle lines.

All of the people receiving the socks will count themselves blessed.

    Hugs to you, Nancy.

  4. If I lived closer I would be begging you to teach me how to knit socks--those are wonderful.

  5. They're beautiful! On to the next goal.

Have you come up with any ideas yet? My only suggestions are hats and mittens, but I don't know how thrilled the kids would be to get something like that.

  6. You are amazing! My Christmas knitting has fallen by the wayside. I usually have more done by now so maybe your beautiful socks will motivate me.

  7. Nancy - now your tidal waves turned out wavier looking than mine did, has to be the yarn! I should have stuck with a solid color.
