Snow Day Knitting

When life sends you snow, what do you do?

Knit, of course!

Since yesterday was snowy and windy, I listened to The Gingerbread Girl by Stephen King and knit. The book was very good, and I got caught up in the suspense a couple of times and lost track of my pattern stitch. I know there are mistakes that I didn't catch in the blanket, but I tell myself that adds to the charm.

I made this for the West Coast Oddball knitting group from yarn in my stash.

Got any ideas for a name? I have been toying with Snowdrift, Snowflake, Arctic Ice, but I am not sure what to name this blanket. What do you think it should be?

By consensus, its name is Arctic Ice.

  1. I like Artic Ice, or Artic Icicles. Either one works to me! It's a beautiful blanket. :)

  2. I think Colleen's suggestion of Arctic Icicles is a good one.

  3. I would say Snow Day. But whatever the name, it's a great blanket!

  4. It's a lovely blanket, Nancy!

I've tried knitting when watching netflix videos online. Unless it's the most mundane of patterns, I inevitably end up making mistakes.

  5. Hi Nancy... Your first line... "When life gives you snow, what do you do?" reminded me of the familiar refrain of a few years ago... "GHOSTBUSTERS"... so... my suggestion for a name of the pattern is "Ghostbusters"! Whatever you call it... it's gonna keep someone warm and you're sweet to make it. JeannieTX
