Stars & Bars is another quilt made with the Town Square pattern - also made with backing scraps. A couple of the large blocks are pieced, but again, it's difficult to tell because the fabric is so busy. 

I usually purchase patriotic fabrics for backings that are busy because they tend to go on sale more frequently than the other quilting fabrics.

    I totally love the 3 yard quilts they are so pretty and fun to make. I like how this one turned out. I can not tell that any of the big blocks are pieced.

    I’m glad I’m not to only one who puts backing fabrics to use on the front of a quilt! Excellent finish.
