Gemstone Stars - a beginning
Gemstone Stars August 2021 |
This set of stars has taken a long time to complete not because they are difficult but because I just haven’t felt like sewing. I’ve worked on them during sporadic FaceTime calls since June, but at least they are finished and sewn together.
The star points are made from Jenny Beyer scraps leftover from Kismet. The fabrics I used for the star points remind me of topaz, amethyst, sapphire, and emerald, so I named this quilt Gemstone Stars. I need to add a frame and border before it is officially finished.
Gorgeous jewels!!! Just so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! Hopefully your sewing mojo will slip back in place, and you'll be able to enjoy it again. Right now for me I seem to be sewing frantically every chance I get. So eventually I'll hit that wall of lack of interest again.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty quilt top. I love all of the colors and that you see different things each time you look. Ive been so busy since getting home and I have to get busy and get some projects done soon. Christmas will be upon us and I won't be ready at all.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Spectacular! I love those colors together.
ReplyDeleteI like this one. But then again...I like all your work. :)
ReplyDeleteThe name really does capture the quilt.
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how in awe I am of your quilting. I finally signed up for a beginning quilting class in October to see if I can learn to cut and sew straight!
Love it - so good and scrappy!
ReplyDeleteTHe Jewel tones are lovely. Wonder why you didnt feel like sewing? Hmmmmmmm, you have given so much time, talent and love to QOV. Maybe a short break will reinspire you. IF this is you uninspired......well, then...that's just amazing
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
