dead tree on Albany County 31 August 2021 |
Standing alone on the side of the dirt road, this tree has a commanding presence. Large rocks are placed around its base as if to protect this unique landmark.
I’ve always found dead trees beautiful pieces of art - each one tells a story of struggle and perseverance.

ReplyDeleteThat one looks like it needs a couple buzzards!
ReplyDeleteDead trees can definitely be so interesting in shape. Many years ago we played golf at a course called Lone Tree - and the only tree out on the actual course was a huge old DEAD gnarly tree. It sat in the middle of a fairway like a monument.
ReplyDeleteOh. wow.....I saw a meme like that the other day that had an very apparently dead tree with one branch still green with the words....Never give up.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same with trees which have lost their leaves in winter, standing stark and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt could be a signpost tree! I like the old trees too:)
