dead tree on Albany County 31
August 2021

Standing alone on the side of the dirt road, this tree has a commanding presence. Large rocks are placed around its base as if to protect this unique landmark.

I’ve always found dead trees beautiful pieces of art - each one tells a story of struggle and perseverance.

  4. Dead trees can definitely be so interesting in shape. Many years ago we played golf at a course called Lone Tree - and the only tree out on the actual course was a huge old DEAD gnarly tree. It sat in the middle of a fairway like a monument.

  5. There was a dead tree along the 417 highway in Seminole County, Florida. The moon used to rise behind it. We used to call it the SPOOK tree.

There is also an area that was near us in Jacksonville called Bone Island. It was an area with a lot of LARGE driftwood. They were so beautiful.

    Love YOUR tree!
