Satisfaction is Completing a Task

trimmed half-square triangles

It's satisfying to tackle and complete a dreaded task. I've been meaning to trim/square these HSTs for nearly three months, but I kept putting it off. On Sunday afternoon, I finally took the time.

The HSTs range in size from 2.5 - 5 inches. I don't have a plan for how to use these HSTs: something will present itself, and when it does, they are prepped and ready to sew.

I also managed to tidy my sewing room. I feels good to complete tasks I've neglected too long.

Is social distancing helping you complete some neglected tasks?

  1. I keep telling myself that I should be doing more but just keeping up with the regular chores when we are all in here messing about all day is wearing me out.

  3. My sewing room has needed cleaning for ages - and now my office is just as bad. I was putting together contract books lately, and so now I have stacks of extra binders and things needing to be filed away.

  4. So nice to have them all ready to use! I am actually (especially today) quite busy with work, so I haven't gotten a lot of chores done. I tend to knit when I can and, I'm keeping with my workout schedule. Walking when it's nice, etc. The usual stuff is getting done (bathrooms cleaned, laundry kept up, etc.).

  5. Ha! I have a pile of HSTs that need trimming too. But I'm procrastinating.

  6. And now you're halfway to more beautiful finishes! I love HSTs...they are so versatile. As for neglected tasks - my windows. Sigh. We have wonderful 5' and 6' windows all over this house and we never close the curtains, but it's time to spend a couple of hours washing them.

  7. It's great that you have so many ready to go.
I have so many projects I would ike to do but my back isn't cooperating very well so I seem to spend a lot of time just sitting.
    Blessings,

  9. Yea for finishing off a neglected project. I started out trying to finish UFO's and doing things to help move projects along. And then the mask issues came up. I was completely swayed to the side that we all should be wearing masks so my kids and grands are getting masks. Then I’m making some for a medical transport company that are running out or are already out of masks. So I’ll be busy for a while on these plans. However I think I might take the weekend off and sew on my own stuff.
