It's a Wrap
finished garter-stitch infinity scarf/cowl August 2019 |
I put a twist in the scarf before connecting the ends with a three-needle bind-off. The twist allows the scarf to lay flat in the front and allows for better coverage under a coat or cardigan without adding bulk.
That turned out so nice - congratulations on a wonderful finish. Now, here's hoping you can pack it away for at least a little while (your winter stuck around so long this Spring...).
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a interesting color...great job.
ReplyDeleteThose earth tones are wonderful and I love your clever 'twist' to the design.
ReplyDeleteThat is really pretty. The flow of color is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe photography is gorgeous and so is your scarf/cowl!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely and proves that simple can be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not anywhere ready for winter, I have to agree that your cowl is gorgeous! Those colors are perfect and I like how it lays flat without a lot of bulk around the neck. It will definitely stave off those Wyoming winds. Dennis and I are staying one night in Casper next month on our way to Omaha. We're driving a different route than usual because we want to go to the museum over I-80 at Kearney, NE.

Betsy
Oh lovely job ! I would do a three needle bind off too!
ReplyDeleteVery nice just the thing for a cold winter. I don't wear scarves myself, although others are well wrapped up. We don't get snow here, of course, although the winters can get chilly.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I love the way it striped. Neutral colors are so soothing.
ReplyDeleteExcellent reveal! I love the way a garter scarf feels around the neck! Beautiful finish!
ReplyDeleteA three needle bind off! I’m impressed! I have been knitting. Peggy and I both knit items to donate for wee babies. I am trying to knit a wee top on the round on circular needles. I hate sewing up knitting so I think knitting in the round is the solution. I love infinity scarves. I often convert ordinary scarves to infinity.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely colors!
