Slow Progress is Still Progress . . .

twenty-nine blocks ready to sew
March 2019
. . . at least that is what I keep telling myself about the Tail Feathers' blocks. All the pieced sections are finished and ready to sew to the large triangles, so the blocks are closer to being completed.

I had hoped to have the quilt top finished by now, but life got in the way.

  1. Your title is very encouraging to me! Sometimes my ten minutes here and ten minutes there seems like I'm not getting anywhere and then magically, I have a completed something! These blocks have waited patiently for you-you need to be patient with yourself!!!

  2. Yup! I've learned to be patient and I've learned that slow doesn't mean nothing accomplished. Bit-by-bit things get done. For me, the key is to ENJOY the process.

  5. Life does that sometimes. But this is the more difficult step so it will be smooth sailing from here.

  6. I like the title of your post. It is so true. Sometimes I think I’m not accomplishing anything but as long as it gets done eventually, that’s what’s important.

  10. I just don’t accomplish as much as I used to for a number of reasons so I’ve decided that as long as I’m making forward progress I’m not going to stress too much about it.

  11. Yea, what Mary said. Although making goals and joining the One Monthly Challenge does help me. The challenge motivates me to actually accomplish what I set out to do. And the weekly goals helps me keep focused on what I wanted to do. I'm sure you are happy to be making forward progress and I KNOW you are making progress on all sorts of projects.
