After the tour of the woolen mill on Saturday, we drove north to Sheridan, WY to visit
The Fiber House, a wonderful yarn shop, stuffed with luscious yarn. With great difficulty, I kept my stash enhancement limited to one fun-colored skein of sock yarn. The tea from
Mystic Monks Coffee - also located in Wyoming - was purchased at the woolen mill. More information about the monks can be found

To help break up the three-hour road trip, we played games on the bus (thank you, Sara for this idea). I selected a skein of sock yarn (big surprise, right?) and a cute box to store knitting notions from the prize bag.
The trip was enjoyable - I did some knitting, chatted with friends, learned a great deal about the processing wool into yarn, and saw a lot of Wyoming through the windows of the bus.
That sounds like a pretty perfect day! It's nice when the traveling is as fun as the destination.
ReplyDeleteLove your new yarn - both what you purchased and what you won. The little notions box is adorable. I went to the website for the Monks' coffee...they sell that but not the tea...boo-hoo. It sounds interesting. Glad you had such a nice time.

How fun! I really like the yarns that you bought and won and the box is really sweet too. I'm hoping to drive to Omaha next summer and since Buffalo is the halfway point, maybe I can stay the night and explore the yarn shop in Sheridan. :-)

You did score well, ending up with two lots of sock yarn. I love the yarn you bought, I feel sure you will just love knitting it. Good that you were with great company and there was lots to do and see on this outing.
