I ♥ Fall Knit-Along

Crazy Zauberball yarn
Color 2312 - Piano Bar
Today is the official start of the I ♥ Fall Knit-Along, hosted by Dee at Pointy Little Sticks. I found three skeins of yarn in my stash that would be appropriate for the KAL and decided to use the Crazy Zauberball yarn I purchased in June at Cowgirl Yarn in Laramie, WY.

The leaves on my Ash trees are gradually turning gold and falling. These trees are typically the first in the neighborhood to change color.

It's fun to see the yarn colors that others have picked: some bright and colorful; others, muted like the skein I selected. Fall color in this area is mostly gold and sometimes a burst of red.

I am going to knit a pair of plain socks (no lace or patterns) as I prefer not to have a pattern on my socks.

  1. Gorgeous yarn! I take it you are knitting for yourself! I think I'll start another pair of socks after I finish several other hand projects -- including finishing a very old sweater. With the weather getting cooler I can hold hunk of sweater in my lap and not overheat!

  2. Pretty color.

Our ash trees have also begun to show some gold leaves and a few falling. And like yours, these are the first in the neighborhood to turn.

  6. That is gorgeous yarn! I have a pair of Monkey Socks about 1/4 done and then I'm going to try magic loop on some plain socks for ME! I received my Chai goo needles today that I ordered from Amazon and I'm looking forward to trying them out.

  8. Beautuiful colors for the Fall KNIT!!! Your socks are always amazing. I 'd let the yarn do the magic too and knit plain socks. Wheee and we are off. Well not quite for me, My yarn is a 60 miles away, and they estimate delivery the 9th! What?

  12. Beautiful colors and I love Zauberball yarn! I like my socks plain too. I always say I can feel the design under my shoe. Bill laughs at that and says it is lucky we don't have any peas under our mattress!
