Transposing Spring

Las Vegas, NV
April 2015
Spring is trying to arrive here, but still not a lot of blooms or color, so I'm transposing a 2015 Vegas springtime scene to Wyoming 2016.

Two of my favorite spring-time flowers in my area are lilacs and crabapple blossoms. What are your favorite spring flowers?

Comments

  1. Springtime here in Philadelphia seems to be impersonating November.

I love lilacs and daffodils. OK, there aren't many flowers that I don't like. :-)

  2. I love the arrival of spring in Texas for all the wildflowers that bloom along the roadsides and in the fields. I guess bluebonnets would be my favorite wildflower. No surprise, because in Texas, bluebonnets are everyone's favorite. :)

  4. lilacs in the Spring are certainly one of my favorites, but I'm like Bridget - I kind of love them all.

  5. Lilacs and Lily of the Valley are my favorites. I have neither of them in my yard here however. We had lilacs in our yard at our previous house until they died out and we dug them up. Sadly, we never replaced them. I really love the smell of both these flowers. And right up there with them would be iris - for their showy looks.

  6. Oh my, I can't choose just one. I love them all. Those are amazing hyacinths in your photo.

  8. Can I say ALL of them?

Up north: Tulips, hyacinths, lilacs, lily of the valley, dogwood, mountain laurel, etc...

Here in Florida --- jacaranda for sure!

  9. Our spring flowers have pretty much vanished although they were beautiful while they lasted.
