The week I spent in Denver wasn't just about sewing: Brenda and I assembled a 1000 piece puzzle at her house, and at Marilyn's house, we finished the puzzle in the photo and started another 1000 piece puzzle.
Working on jigsaw puzzles and quilting are similar activities, which is probably why Marilyn and I enjoy both.
Steve and I love doing puzzles too, but the little idiot (a.k.a. Giroux) that lives in our house likes to get on the table and mess with the pieces. :-( LOL
Maybe when he gets a little older we can go back to doing puzzles.
I used to start a new 1000 piece puzzle every year right after Christmas. I love doing them and my mother-in-law also enjoyed it. I even bought a new puzzle this winter since I hadn't done one in a few years, but never got around to it. HMMM - maybe a good project this summer when it's too hot to golf.
I love puzzles - but I have to be careful. It never fails that I stop for just a minute in the morning to spot a piece and wind up being late for work! HA!!!

That puzzle looks like a pretty one.
I enjoy puzzles too but more easier ones:)

ReplyDeleteCute picture! Is Marilyn looking for a piece of sky or dozing off?
ReplyDeleteOH I LOVE that barn!!!!! How fun to chat and do a puzzle!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty puzzle too! :)
ReplyDeleteI had never equated jigsaw puzzles with quilting, but you are right, it is all about the piecing.
ReplyDeleteI was intrigued to see you are doing the puzzle upside down, I don't think I have ever done that.
I love doing jigsaw puzzles but rarely do them these days - quilting must have taken over.
I enjoy a puzzle too but I hardly ever do one because there are so many other things I enjoy including lots of books.
ReplyDeleteAll my sitting time seems to be used on the computer these days. Perhaps I should take a computer vacation and work on a jigsaw puzzle instead.
