Firecrackers

Firecrackers
Quilt of Valor
60 x 73 inches
Firecrackers (QOV #66) was created with the help of my QOV elves in the Lander Sew Sistas.

Thank you Mary H., Nancy L., and Brenda H. for your help.

Oops
Can you spot the problem in this photo? I had to rip and resew a section.

  1. Love the name and no I can't spot the problem.

  2. The name is perfect for this quilt! I had to look closely, but at the bottom I see where you redid the section. It's a very nice QOV.

  3. It is hardly noticeable but yes I see where the dark blue stars change spots with the flags...since you are a perfectionist I can imagine you ripping them out and resewing them:)

  4. Stunning! I really like this layout and the fabrics you've chosen. I'm feeling impatient to get some sewing time in the next couple of weeks and this really inspires me.

  5. I love this pattern, and the fabrics you used are perfect! It's frustrating to have to rip out and redo a section. It wasn't very noticeable, but I'm sure you feel better knowing it is now as you intended it.

  6. Beautiful quilt! I hope it gets treasured forever! Don't see "the problem" but then, any "imperfection" makes it more special - and notably hand done!

P.s., I'm still looking for someone to claim your "forgotten photo"! With so many names it was hard to pick someone to start with - and there seem to be a lot single guys in it that never had families.

One of the dudes in the photo was a German POW. I think he was shot down serving in the army Air Force.

  7. What a perfect combination of fabric and pattern! You know I can't sew to save my life, so I see no flaws. Just fabulous, fabulous work for a wonderful cause.

  10. I think I see the issue --- did it involve flipping a section? Even so ......it's another beauty.
