When I stepped out to get the morning paper, this is what I found. It wasn't unexpected since the weatherman predicted it, but it was still a shock to the eyes to see snow so early in October. I guess it's time to discard the geraniums.
Sheila's house about one mile away from mine. 25 degrees F. and two inches of snow
You beat us!!! Alberta had snow...but down south...up north here...we are still snow free:)) who would of thought it would be nicer living further north?!!
Wow. I won't fuss about my very cold rain today then. It's actually nice to have Gretchen in my lap and Sissy pressed up against me while I read and sip my pumpkin coffee. Sorry you missed fall!
Groan, I so remember those snow events in October, which is part of the reason I no longer live in NY :) Our temps were in the low 80's yesterday but today & tomorrow will be no higher than 60. I'm switching the closet out right now!
Snow is such beautiful, wonderful stuff... especially since I am not having to deal with it! People here just can't handle snow because we see it so seldom... they drive crazy and they act crazy in it... we have no "snow sense" in Louisiana!
Looks like it is time to gather up your inside (knitting/sewing) projects to have at hand for the days it is too nasty to get out. I'm hoping this early snow will melt quickly and you will get to enjoy a little more fall weather before the really cold settles in.
Looks like those flowers are history..count your snowfalls this year Nancy and see which one doesn't disappear. We usually have three and that last one stays. :)

Oh no! I'm not ready for this, please don't send it to the south!

ReplyDeleteACK! I'm still roasting here in Florida. I just want to take that snow and rub it all over my face!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see the snow too! I'm glad the storm moved through early this morning, and we have sunny skies today.
ReplyDeleteI have only one word....NO!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's for real right?
Jen @ Muddy Boot Dreams
oh boy....so sorry. IM NOT ready for snow yet.....
ReplyDeleteGolly your seasons change quick! Although we have distinct seasons here the change is not so dramatic.
ReplyDeleteCheers
