Foreign Friday - Guest Post

Hmmm, pretty scary to have containers that can choose!
Today's post features photos my friend Sheila took in April 2012 while she and her husband Doug visited Japan. You may giggle and/or shake your head in disbelief at the humorous translations.
Well, it's almost phonetic. Right?
A cute note pad that states,
"Fruit gives health sufficient on the body."
An interesting name for a tissue

  1. I love 'em. I'm especially curious about "on the body"...

  2. I wonder if Life Yell is a description of achoo? I can see the fruit statement being used for other things like, "Shoes give warmth sufficient on the toes." Cute, funny post!! Thanks Sheila!

  3. LIfe Yell...what a riot!?? Love a guest post Nancy!!!
(and i love a board game too!)

  4. Life yell is hilarious! It reminds me of when I went to China and we saw a little girl wearing a shirt with a picture of Snoopy on it, but the caption said "Spoony".

  5. You would think they would have better translators, but it is worth the chuckle :)

That's why they named it Life yell, I love those translations...used to giggle over them in the dollar stores.
