Just by looking at the number of spools I emptied in 2021, it’s obvious I didn’t do as much sewing as previous years, but I was certainly not a slacker: these empty spools/cones allowed me to make nineteen Quilts of Valor and three community quilts for Prayers and Squares.
You probably had lots of spools close to being finished last year and this year you probably started a lot of new spools or cones. I think I’ve had a good year for thread usage but haven’t checked yet. Congrats on a good year of QOV.

What a fun way to keep track of your progress and you were indeed no slacker.
ReplyDeleteCertainly not a slacker! Well done Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing amount of quilts for a "slow" year. You are my personal inspiration for making Quilts of Valor.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! I think I went through one this year and that's a big maybe because I really have lost track of the years.
ReplyDeleteYou are never, ever a slacker! What a cool way to keep track of your progress!
ReplyDeleteWho could ever think of you as a slacker. Maybe they were extra large spools!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
That's a lot of spools, and I know you have made many QOV last year. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive number! It takes me years to empty my spools because I use so many different colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea!! Never thought of saving empty spools 😁
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love to hear your spool reports!
