Finding the Good

It's easy to get depressed watching the news and the ever-growing number of individuals infected with the virus enveloping the globe, but for mental health, it's important to also focus on the good, no matter how small.

Some good things that happened here:
•  I'm knitting again - a pair of socks with stash yarn
•  Online banking - taking care of necessities without leaving home
•  Mystery QALs - clues to look forward to each week/month

Share something good that happened to you in the last week.

  4. I have a warm house and clean clothes and plenty of food. After my grocery trip yesterday for some odds and ends we can probably stay away from the store for a couple of months.
God is good and still on His Throne and He loves me!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  5. A CT scan showed that Bill's aortic aneurysm is smaller and no surgery is required. Also, our son brought us toilet paper!

  6. We have a warm house, a fun/loving cat, even though we can't see our son and his fiance, they are nearby, plenty of food in the frig and cabinets. I also really love that my boss calls me daily just to check in and make sure Fletch and I are doing ok. Sweet.

  7. Good idea, Nancy! It's a gorgeous day here in New Mexico ranching country. All the doors and windows are open, letting the fresh desert air waft through the house. Oh, and quilts are drying on the clothesline while the chickens scratch around looking for treats. Wishing you happiness and good things in every day.

  8. I've been trying a few new recipes, some good, and one or two wont be tried again. I always wonder why my efforts dont usually look like the photo on the recipe though? I haven't been able to buy any flour over the last few weeks, still have some here but really wanted as extra bag as a back up.
Plenty of sewing has been taking place too, so that's good.

  10. I made a delicious pot of soup from a new recipe.

Giroux climbed up in my lap and fell asleep. (He's never done that before.)

I lost some weight. (I am trying. Eating at home sure helps.)

  11. My kids are still employed. I can text both girls when I want (they are 7 and 9) so not the world's best correspondents! And I have lots of fun fabric to play with...or use to make masks. Think about all the fabric I’ll need to buy to replace what I’m using once things smooth out again!
